Having too little lighting makes your home look dark, which can make your rooms feel heavy and dreary. Without the right lighting, our eyes can struggle to understand the size of the room and create an unpleasant atmosphere. Make sure to use any natural light that comes into your home to your advantage, and if you have a room that doesn’t allow a lot of natural light, use light and neutral furniture keeping it as bright as possible.

Curtains and drapes can be used in the home for both beautiful and practical purposes. If you hang curtain rods on the windows and the curtains are too short, it can make the room look much smaller than it really is, and it just creates a cluttered look. in general. Technology cables, cords, and plugs are the bane of modern life: You can’t live with them, and you certainly can’t live without them. But you I can hide them. Move the TV out of the armoire, or arrange a gallery wall around it to prevent it from feeling like a black hole in the space.

A good rug can make a room feel polished and sometimes larger than it is. While small rugs can be very inexpensive, splurging for an 8×10, 9×12, or larger size that fits your space can save you money in the long run. A rug of the right size, along with thoughtful placement of furniture, includes a clean, pull-together room.

A gallery wall is a smart move to bring color and interest to any room in the house. How to make it work? Take out the measuring tape and place it in a neat place. Hanging your art and photos haphazardly is a quick way to make your collection feel more chaotic than inspiring.
